Mr. Templeton is in his third year as the proud principal of Nowell Academy with a career spanning 25 years in PK-12 public, charter and private schools. One of the many reasons he loves his current work is because the Nowell team passionately advocates for social justice and collective liberation on a daily basis. 

Michael is also an adjunct professor of teacher education at Rhode Island College. Teaching courses in the Master of Arts in Teaching program, he's super grateful for the opportunity to positively impact future teachers and provide an important school-based perspective to his students' study of theory.

Outside of school, Mr. Templeton is an avid reader, loves the performing arts (especially live theatre!), and enjoys traveling the world with his best friend. Michael's goldendoodle, Selah, and making music are some of the things that bring him the most joy. #orgulloyalegria
