Jill Lennox, School Nurse Teacher
Hello & Welcome to Nowell Academy’s website. My name is Jill and it is my second year as the school nurse for Nowell Academy! I have been a school nurse for 6 years. I have been a registered nurse for 17 years. I began my nursing career at Women and Infants on the Mother/ Baby Unit. I worked there for 9 &½ years. I then worked as a Head Start Nurse for 1 and ½ years before I got my position as the school nurse for Alan Shawn Feinstein Elementary School. The elementary school closed down and the following year the school nurse job opened at Nowell Academy. I was drawn to my career as a nurse because I wanted to help people feel better and I believe that staying healthy is a large piece of living a long, happy life. I value family and want to leave people feeling physically and emotionally better after they have interacted with me. I want my Nowell family to know that I love and support them.
What I love most about being at Nowell is working with our diverse student population. The teen parents that continue their school academics, while they raise their babies, inspire me. I want to be at the school to support their academic success. I am passionate about supporting all of my Nowell family in helping them feel better or maintaining their health. I treat every member of our Nowell community as an important person in my Nowell Family!
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my four children, family, and friends. I love going for walks in nature, visiting beaches, and attending concerts.
