Robinson Adames, Dean of College and Career readiness

Mr. Adames serves as the Dean of College and Career Readiness at Nowell Academy, where he is deeply committed to advancing postsecondary success for all students. With a strong foundation in both school counseling and corporate finance, Robinson brings a unique perspective to his work—one that blends data-driven strategy with student-centered support.

Before joining Nowell, Robinson worked as a School Counselor at Highlander Charter School, where he led impactful programming in college access, scholarship acquisition, and career readiness, while managing a caseload of over 120 students. His earlier career as a Financial Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston sharpened his skills in strategic planning, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.

As a bilingual, first-generation college graduate, Robinson is passionate about educational equity and building inclusive pathways to success. He holds a Master of Education in School Counseling from Providence College and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University. He is also certified in Rhode Island as a K–12 School Counselor and PK–12 School Business Administrator.

Outside of school, Robinson enjoys spending time with his wife, two kids and mini golden-doodle. He is an active men's ministry leader in his church community and is passionate about servant leadership. He finds joy in mentorship, music, and discovering ways to make a meaningful impact in students’ lives; both inside and outside the classroom.
