Kristen Kardos, Supervisor Of Health & Wellness
Kristen is an educator with over 25 years of experience in public education. She serves as Supervisor of Health and Wellness at Nowell Academy, where she teaches Health classes, facilitates the pregnant and parenting support group, fosters meaningful relationships, and works to decrease chronic absenteeism. Kristen is also owner of Rhode Island New Moms Connection, a local organization which provides resources, support, and community for new parents in RI. She is a DONA trained postpartum doula as well as a Certified Lactation Counselor. Kristen has spent the past two decades supporting parents and educating students grades 7-12. She enjoys building community, developing partnerships, supporting students, and growing as an educator and a leader.
Kristen holds a BA in Spanish and Education from Boston College. She also has a MA in Education Administration from NYU. Within the past 2 years, she completed the RWU TESOL program as well as NISL (Nat’l Institute of School Leaders). She is a mom of 3 children who loves to travel, learn new things, and spend time in nature.
